Face It

Some of you know this already, but some of you may not. Last weekend I gave in and joined Facebook. Now I feel like I lost a small piece of my soul. But from what I understand, I can fool myself into thinking that hole is filled by getting as many "friends" as possible (sarcasm definitely intended). But I take comfort in knowing that so many of you will be there with me in social networking hell.

You know, for once I couldn't agree with you more. The only reason I got on was due to peer pressure. Then again, all I really do on there is take a quiz or three, block other applications that people suggest I should use, and give an update once in a while.

But you, you are a completely different animal. Who knows what you will end up doing with it. Only time will tell.

As you know, I was opposed to it for a long time. Now I've decided it's a non-committal way to keep in touch.. .for those people that I wouldn't mind a "hi" from, but I don't want to give them my real email address...

So that's why you are my Facebook friend...

I totally agree with Jer. It's nice to say an occasional hi from the random people that I hardly knew in high school, without them having my info. And since some of them try chatting with me while I'm there... Ok that's just creepy, why do you want to chat with someone who had to pull out her yearbook to figure out who you were?
That all being said, I hate facebook because I can never figure out how things work. I figure it out once, then they re-do things.

Joel, how could you? Don't you know that facebook is a gateway drug.
