Have you ever been yelled at by a customer or client? If not, congratulations—you're probably the jerk doing the yelling. I think there are a few jobs that we should each have to do at some point in our lives in order to be less of a jerk:
Janitor
Server at a restaurant
Customer service by phone
What else?
Empathy

Food service of any kind. Especially Fast Food.
Everyone should work at least one night as a theater or stadium janitor. Then they would come around to my way of thinking - throw your own crap away. You are not taking away anyone's job by not cleaning up after yourself. You're being a jerk!
